I have a Rose of Sharon bush in my yard that was grown from a cutting from my great aunt Helen. I have had the bush for about 25 or 30 years. It blooms all summer long and the hummingbirds adore it. I don't know how long they live, but it's been through droughts, blizzards, blights and hurricanes and has always managed to survive and still thrives today.
