These paintings are done on Yupo paper. "Yupo (pronounced You-Poe) is a bright white, durable, recyclable, tree-free, synthetic paper which does not absorb water. After using Yupo paper in phases for over fifteen years, I am currently painting on it almost exclusively. Because the pigments sit on top of the surface, rather than soaking in, the results include intriguing textures and clean, vibrant colors.  I am finding the flexibility of working on Yupo paper is presenting exciting opportunities for creative expression and growth." ~ Sandy
